(a) By present petition before the Supreme Court of India, the Bombay Lawyers Association has sought review of the judgment and order dated 19th April, 2018 passed by this Hon’ble Court by which it had declined to order an independent probe into CBI Special Judge Loya’s mysterious death. (b) The Supreme Court of India has refused to stay a notification issued by Kerala Government revising the minimum rates of wages payable to the employees in the private hospital sector, which superseded the existing rates of minimum wages fixed by earlier notification. (c) The Supreme Court of India has directed that the State Governments shall frame appropriate Rules in exercise of the rule-making power under Section 30 of the Consumer protection Act, 1986 in accordance with the Final Draft Model Rules submitted by the Union of India. (d) The Bombay High Court has imposed fine on Central Bureau of Investigation for illegal arrest made by its officer in the Punjab National Bank fraud case. |
